How long are the responeses to these questions supposed to be?

With the understanding that the choice of academic school you indicated above is not binding, explain why you are applying to that particular school of study.

Describe your most interesting work or educational experience.

Also, does the supplement to the common app have a print preview function?

the supplement cannot be filled online, i hand wrote mine (except for the diversity essay and the "which school" question) and therefore will not have a print preview....if you're using the common app however, the "describe your most interesting work or educational experiences" does not appear- i believe that is on the "rice" application only........

Right but thats because the main commonapp already has a question like that

Wait. I'm confused now..

ammarsfound: the common app didn't really explicitly say "most important" but w/e i know what you're saying, rice probably uses that common app short answer response anyway.

apples: you have to choose one of two options when applying to rice as i'm sure you know:
1)Online Rice Application part 1 and 2 which has "describe your most important work/educational experience..", "which school" and the famed "diversity, what do you bring to rice"

2) Common Application plus Rice Supplement. This one's got the "elaborate on one extracurricular activity" and common app essay plus the "which school" and "rice-diversity" essay. The Rice supplement can be found on their website and must be printed out and handwritten, which is what i did, except for the essays.

you must choose either option. notice how the common application option does not have the describe most educational activity etc. hope it helped

oh and also my responses were like a paragraph long maybe 200 words.

Stay within a reasonable word limit.. the common app says 500 words but if you write under 700 it will be fine...

Longer but better is better than following the word limit
