Just got off the phone with cornell. regular admissions office said to not worry if you did not get a letter this week since they send them out in april.
so i mentioned that kids on this site had posted decisions and she asked for what school and transferred me. that school said some decisions went out this week, acceptances and rejections, and that it was in no order and did not mean anything if you did not get one. i asked if the kids that received the letters were the kids that were like the likely letter kids to give us an idea of why they got their letters and she said no. there was no reason one got a letter and the other did not. more will go out at the end of the month.
she said don't worry not getting a letter does not mean you are rejected...i asked that question so we would all know for sure that you can still get accepted if you don't get a letter this week.

2007 Mom-Thanks for making the call. DD has applied to CHE-I keep thinking a waitlist or transfer for next year would be what to hope for. After watching these boards I was really feeling down for D.

yes, thanks2007 mom. it relieves some stress.
