Anthro 3ac vs. Linguistics 5 vs. Socio 3ac

I'm taking one of these courses along with Geog 40 and Stats 21 (a challenging class apparently).
Which one should I take? Can I get an overview of what exactly you learn in each of those classes?

I'm planning to be a psychology and business (if I get in) major.

Thanks!

P.S. Hayden teaches Anthro 3ac, N/A for Ling, and Kelsey for Socio 3AC.

I never took Ling 5, but I heard it’s basically an easier version of Ling 100, which is just a survey course of phonetics (sounds), phonology (sound systems), morphology (word structure), syntax (sentence structure), semantics (meaning), pragmatics (language in context), etc. Very fun and interesting stuff, but I’m being biased since I’m a linguistics major :)

bump bump bump

Take Ling 5. It has way less reading than either of the other two… and I think the ling dept’s grading is easier than sociology’s. Don’t know about anthro though.

Does anyone know anything about Sociology or Anthropology?

I took anthro 3ac in the fall with Hayden. Great class, my favorite one so far. The readings were.interesting and my gsi was great! If you take it,do it in the fall. Its not hard to get and a if you put in the.effort. I am currently taking socio3ac with Kelsey. I personally don’t like the class. I feel that much if the.content is.common sense. It’s not hard though. We have no midterms just papers and online quizzes. I think powers teaches sociology 3ac in the fall and from what I’ve heard from friends he isn’t the best.

Can you tell me more about the subject material difference between the two? Actually, I think Kelsey is teaching this fall. Thanks.

As a Ling major I found Ling 5 more difficult than Ling 100, which is kind of weird.
