Can anyone give me the names of some schools that are strong in (preferably both) anthropology and african studies? I'm looking to major in anthro and have a huge interest in africa.
I'm interested in small liberal arts colleges in the north, though I have no preference between new england and the upper midwest.
thanks!

If you’d give thought to coming south, Rhodes has an anthropologist whose specialty is Madagasgar (her husband is from there and their daughter was I believe born there). Also one of the business profs leads the Egypitian studies Maymester every year over there.

It would sort of depend on what part of Africa you’re interested in; it’s a big continent!
