Anthropology or History?

I like history, especially the holocaust. However, I don't really like APUSH because it's all wars, policies, presidents, political parties, govn't, etc. I'd rather learn about culture and languages, people and their experiences. However, the holocaust is "history," right? Just the holocaust in general; I like reading accounts of survivors and stuff. If I don't like APUSH that much, would I enjoy majoring in history? Or would anthro be a better fit? I know I don't have to pick yet, but I feel like I need to pick a major before I pick a college......which I won't be able to pick for another 4 months. :(

I think there would be aspects of every major that someone wouldn't exactly enjoy. I'm really interested in primates, but maybe more than ancient civilizations? It's hard to tell at this point. I watched a video series on the discoveries of hominids and I thought that was really cool.

It seems that you would like cultural and also biological anthropology.

You could take classes in both and then double major or major/minor.
