does anyone know of any small/medium colleges that teach anthropology in boston?

I studied Anthropology at BU. I know that is NOT a small school, but my major only had 30 students and with the exception of the intro class (ANTH 101) it felt like a small school, none of my major classes had more than 30 students (most had between 10 and 15). Also we took 2 senior classes exclusively with our fellow major candidates (no one else was allowed in) and it was extremely enjoyable. Also BU does major graduations, which meant those 30 people I had spent a year with were the only people I walked with, needless to say, graduation was a blast.

However, if your heart is set at a smaller school: consider Brandeis (I knew a friend who did undergrad there and liked it, she also wasn’t Jewish in case that is a concern of yours), Wellesley (if you are female) or Tufts. Note, none of those schools are “in” Boston. Small schools “in” Boston are Simmons, Emerson and Emmanuel. I am not sure about their Anthro programs.

Thanks so much! Yes i have visited BU and it is one of my top schools(: are there any school that have good anthro programs that are close to connecticut? Anyone?!

I think quinnipiac university is rising. Im not to sure if it has an anthropology program but it is in conneticut…i think.

Quinnipiac doesn’t have an antho department. UCONN and Connecticut College both do though. Although, I don’t know how “good” they are.
