So I've been accepted to Ohio State Honors Program, and Early Action to University of Michigan and Case Western. I really want to study anthropology, but I'm very torn. I hear that UMich has the best undergrad anthropology in the nation. So basically, is it worth the money to go to Michigan for anthropology, or would any undergraduate school be suitable?
I want to study physical anthropology along with evolutionary studies or zoology. I want to do veterinary medicine as well for grad school, but i'm not completely sure.

So what do you say? Is Michigan's prestige and ranking better for future job prospects, etc?
I don't want to regret giving up michigan when I'm looking for a job or applying to grad schools, but I am not sure if in the end it worth the price tag.

So best option, UMich, Case, or OSU?

Also any opinions or experiences with these programs or anthropology in general would really help!
Thanks!

How big of an issue are finances? If they’re not a huge issue, Michigan hands down.

If finances are an issue, go to the cheapest option. To do any kind of decent field anthropology work, you generally need a masters degree (minimum!) and that’s what you should focus on for prestige (ie go to a cheap undergraduate program and focus on getting in to U of M graduate school for anthropology). You do not want to graduate undergrad with a lot of debt because you’re likely going to go into a decent amount of debt for grad school. When applying to graduate schools in anthropology, the prestige of the undergraduate school doesn’t seem to matter all that much. What is of utmost importance is how much hands-on experience (field work) and research experience you have.

case western is a private school so its probably just as expensive as michigan. So the choice is really either OSU (assuming you are in-state) or Michigan.

^ Unless the OP is getting merit aid/financial aid at any of the options. Privates do not always mean more expensive. In fact, privates can often end up being cheaper than publics.

I hear you can get free tats at O$U. O$U is a distant third if money is not an issue. Private schools like Case can be creative with scholarships, not so much with public schools like Michigan. If they are all about the same in your mind then I doubt you are cut out for Michigan.

Anthropology is an extremely diverse degree. I’m guessing if the OP is interested in vet med and anthropology that he’s/she’s likely focusing on primates. But the OP should come back and answer haha.
