Any current Anthropology students or graduates who can give me info on careers/if it was worth it? I'm a senior who is really interested in Humanities/Social Sciences, I absolutely despise the hard sciences and the maths. Cultural Anthropology really interests me as does Archaeology...any advice or personal stories would be very helpful!

I am looking at OSU and UVM right now as my top 2

Both would probably require grad school if you want to turn professional. However, the usual range of graduate careers are completely open to you. Especially the people centred ones.

A college degree with minimal/no debt is always worth it for the experience, if you want that experience and enjoy learning. Archaelogy might have a bit more math involved due to modern dating methods. Although you’d have to do stats with both at grad school so a class or two, if you can bear it, might help in the long run.

See if you can get involved in any local digs/societies to try archaelogy. I knew someone who changed major from physics to archaelogy. That’s in the UK where she had to go back and repeat her first year in order to do so. So it was a major commitment. She loved her decision and her major.
