Anti-Prom

So if you're not going to prom, what are you doing instead???

I'm not, and plan to go for a hike.

Studying for AP tests, probably. I don’t even know when our prom is.

I have absolutely no idea. I need to find something interesting to do to make everyone else jealous :p

I’m a sophomore and I’m goin to prom next Saturday…

My prom is right now :frowning: #foreveralone

My prom is AFTER APs, so I’m good. May 18th.
Last year my friends and I went to a restaurant and an anti-prom date/movie night though.

Don’t put down prom! It’s a fun time!

Skipped the Prom to cram for the SAT the next day and get a good night sleep (my excuse to not nut up and ask a girl)

I was forced into going to my prom this year…Not that I regret it after seeing the hot fire dancers…But I got out of it last year and stayed on my computer the entire night…

It almost seems like no one cares about prom at my school anyway. Some kid was asking people if they were going to prom and everyone was saying no.

May 18, bruh. Ditching school on the 17th and gonna have fun on the 18th.

Don’t be anti-social, guys. Don’t be lame. T_T

My friends were planning to have an anti-prom party but then most of them decided to go to prom, so it’s just become an after party.

I decided to skip prom this year because I just wasn’t feeling it. I think I was just didn’t want to stress over asking a girl, since I’m already stressed with everything out, so I just put it to the side and before I knew it everyone was taken so I just pushed it away completely.

The SAT is the day after prom so I probay couldn’t have gone anyways.

I just REALLY regret my decision to not go because I’m a Junior and EVERYONE is going. I’m probably gonna start crying when I come home from the SAT and see all the pictures on Instagram/Facebook of everyone in party buses and pre-prom photo shoots.

Like, literally, its gonna be terrible.

I don’t think you should spend $200+ for a dress and a ticket to have a good time. that’s ridiculous -__-

^I’m not spending that much. Ticket is £38 and dress £50 max. So definitely less than £100, which is around $180.

^well I may have exagerated a bit :stuck_out_tongue: still though, you really don’t need any money to have a good time with friends, and if you really want to go out, you don’t need to spend $75 on a ticket. not even mentioning that some people are renting limos.
good times are made out of the people, not the events :)

but are you just having a sort of end-of-school dance? I know they don’t have prom in the UK…

We do have prom now  We used to have balls, but only for upperclassmen. Everything’s so Amerianised now that we call it prom and have one for sophomores as well. I’m leaving the school so it’s a bigger deal for me than most people though.

NO don’t tell me that it’s gotten Americanised D: I’m going to the UK to LEAVE the US :(

I think my friends and I are going out for pizza and bowling in fancy dresses.

Well some bits have but mostly just the words :D
