<p>I am not sure why you feel you have to publicly out a parent on an open forum, but I just don’t understand why you would go there. There is a private message feature for a reason, but frankly, what this poster does is non of your business. There are many parents here that funnel our thoughts and questions on these forums as an outlet for the stresses that come with dealing with the ups and downs of the college admission process. I am sure you are proud of your D and maybe, just maybe, you will have a bit more understanding when you actually go through the process, not pretend to know what the process holds. Your D may be an auto admit, like my D was, but she certainly is not guaranteed her choice of college, her choice of honors program and her choice of residence. All of these “choices” can cause stress in our children, and as parents we come here, to share in the mutual experience and to support each other. Come here, attack someone who has contributed and helped other students and many posters will stand up and defend someone who was unjustly attacked.</p>
