Anticipate delays due to weather

Not “outing” anyone. My point is that while parents can certainly voice their concerns, ultimately it is the student who must navigate the waters that is college life and make decisions on their own. Some parents tend to obsess much more than others. Perhaps it is the nature of parents today, but UT frowns upon “helicopter parenting,” such as when your kids become students they do not allow access to student information, grades, etc. They are adults. They should begin that process now.

In addition, the majority of posters on here are students, either prospective or currently enrolled. This forum is more for them than the parents. An over-zealous parent does no student any good whence they are enrolled. Agree with that sentiment or not, that is the reality at UT.

Good luck to all.
