Ants.

Anyone else live in a dorm that's being invaded by ants? I live in Courtside and seriously, we have ants crawling all over our walls and floors. It's really disgusting. Anyone have solutions?

I live in De Neve, and my room seems to be only one on my floor that has ant problems. They only attack us when we have food out in the open, even if they're in the trash cans. Once we stopped leaving it out, the ants stopped coming

don't leave candy and food out in the open is my best advice, no matter which building you live in

solution? call the front desk... or just camp out in sproul at the front desk til they send in some bug-spray armed people...

ugh DYKSTRA. Ant whoring here.

Raid!!!!!!

i'm in de neve and there's lots of ants!!!! where on earth did they come from!

I always see a random ant on my desk everyday... Just 1 each night, and I flick it off each time. I have no idea where they're coming from.

i loved living in summit last year... somehow, ants just don't make it up 7 floors ;)

But I did... and that's just as equally bad.

Report it to your housing department. They should be responsible for fixing the problem but if they don't take care of it then try and find the route the ants are coming in (usually you can find a marching battalion coming in and returning the same route) and put ant traps/poison on the route. We had an ant problem in the house and our pest control guy has some gel stuff that he smeared across the ant's route and they take it back to the nest and eventually they don't return. If you can find a local pest control person maybe they can get you some of the gel stuff.

RT9 = no ants :)
