Anxiety before senior year!

Tony, whats the secret to zpmqxonw's name?
Enlighten me :p

Oh, just look at the keyboard and follow the letters and prepared to be amazed :D

everyone should ignore sean123. he's fresh out of 8th grade. his stupid crap doesn't deserve our attention.
sean123, just to set the record straight, you have no idea how it is to grow up a minority in this country, so kindly shut it. sorry but a middle school graduate's opinions are destined to be pure crap.

also, tony, the fact that you figured that out is brilliant! bet sean couldnt have done that :)

^^^^^Oh lol, I guess I was just looking at the keyboard at the right time :)

As to sean123, the problem with college admissions is they're unfair and soon enough you'll realize this, b/c the moment you acknowledge that you have an issue with AA, then bring up legacies, athletes, VIP's, development cases, faculty/trustee relations, etc, and soon enough you'll learn that though things in life aren't fair, you just have to learn to deal with them.

Doh
Now I see.

Aww, 8th graders, how cute. I barely went online until freshman year.

Yeah I'm terrified of this year. I want it to be over already... =( I don't do well with deadlines and waiting for decisions.

:D After almost 700 posts here, you guys (Tony and ChaosTheory) are some of the first ones to figure it out. Almost everybody else just thinks I'm a crazy person that typed random letters ;)

makes sense that Tony is going to harvard. and sean thought tony got into harvard on the basis of his minority status? HA now we know it's because of his excellent username-recognition skills :D

When the whites were wrong about the blacks did they stop and give up, no they didnt they just wanted to be equal and these days things are growing stupid again, for if we ever want the real answer we must figure out that its a person's train of thought that matters, not his/her outside features, so therefor in life we should have the rights of our beliefs not our looks

Does this mean I get to go to Harvard too...?

:D

jimbob you really think that black and white are so different, in all i have read i have never encountered anything in which a skin look makes them different, i know african americans and white people who have similar thoughts i think that its just you caught up in your greed that impels you to disagree with me... the AA may help you but i know many smart people who deserve the best and are hurt by it so you are just the ignorant one

jimbob i dont hate you for what you think because god hasnt intended everyone to understand the evident rights... i never heard in the bible where it says skin color is the deciding factor in who should become the person to go to the school, i heard it was hard work and a good head on your shoulders

i know that one who thinks of skin color as a factor about one's self is incorrect that does not take education, its simply common sense

sean123,
jimbob has hit the nail on the head several times on this thread:

"sean123, just to set the record straight, you have no idea how it is to grow up a minority in this country, so kindly shut it."

Sean, in an idealistic world, yes, everyone would have equal opportunity and skin color, etc.. would mean nothing. However, our society is currently anything but ideal. While it may not be exclusively minorities who are at a disadvatage, it is one of the problems most difficult to miss and easy to address. AA ultimately seeks to minimize the difference between minorities and non minorities in the eductional environment, and therefore eventually everywhere. Think about it.

I don't think the Bible ever commented on the college admissions process and how it functions, but hmmmm. I really don't see why you are taking this so tough, though soon in time you'll see things better . Also, though I can't find that physical study it became generally proven that the effects of AA are very minimal and affect only a small portion of applicants getting accepted [, so when you're a senior come back to me, and we'll discuss this again, but before that learn more on why AA was instated and from there will you gain an educated opinion on why believe one way or the other.

so your claiming its my fault and i should let somebody stupider then me get into a better college then me when i had worked hard, im sorry but i cant agree with that, that is just a dumb excuse on the democrat's part

Funny that, I'm a republican, plus, you haven't even applied to college yet so how do you know you're not going to get into a good college. Also, don't come back to me and say well I got rejected, and it's all a minority's fault because then I'm going to ask you, well then why didn't you get waitlisted at least?

i respect you very much and i dont blame it on that i know it requires hard work so i intend to keep with that and try my best

sean, i'm sorry i called you names. that wasn't very nice of me, especially since i'm the one criticizing you! i guess i'll let you guys battle it out. i stick with the substance of what i said though--none of us, really, have any idea how the real world works, so it's better if we don't argue based on our assumptions and opinions.

its okay..i know that you have your oppinion and i have mine and i respect that
