After some research I've done, I'm seriously starting to doubt my entrance into Fall 2012 because of my late application submission, (turned in all materials abo. second week of January). It seems as if everyone has already been let in, or wait listed, although that could just be my nervousness about getting in. If someone could please give me an idea if there's still a possibility of me (senior in high school) getting in?

31 college credit hours, 3.5 GPA; NHS Officer, volunteer lab assistant, several documented volunteer hours, top 20% of high school, first gen. college student.

Any information you could provide would be absolutely appreciated C:

Here’s hoping for both of us savmercer. Just browsing around this site alone makes me feel like even if we did get in, everything like scholarships and orientation (thus classes), would be filled up.

Thanks for the input alongwait!

((Also, if it at all helps with the aforementioned chancing, I’m an underrepresented minority as well.))

You should have no problem getting admitted - the only reason I could think of for not getting admitted would be the late application . You certainly have the stats for UCF! :). Good luck!

Again, still anxious especially now since my status has changed to deferred.

I’ve called and emailed, but no response as of yet; honestly I feel like in this day and age, a girl shouldn’t be waiting for for a Knight(-school.) aha, joke. I know a deferral isn’t the end of the world, but with an acceptance from UF already, I’m feeling like I may have to end up going there instead of my dream college.

I heard back just yesterday, and I was accepted! The reason I was deferred in the first place however, wasn’t because of my late submission but because on my record I didn’t have the full 2.0 credits of a second language.

I am currently finishing the second credit at the college I dual enrolled at, but they needed my college transcript to confirm. Once it was processed, I was accepted.

Keep calling and sending emails as often as you can; I would have never known if I hadn’t been adamant with my line of communication with admissions.

Congrats on being accepted! I’ve read stories where students call UCF to inquire about their status, and they don’t get anywhere. They are just told their application is being reviewed. End of discussion. Do you mind if I ask you what you said to the person that answered the phone to get them to look into it for you?
