Any 1-year EMT alternatives that don't require physical strength?

I will be going on a service trip for two years. I want to be able to provide medical assistance during emergencies, as long as I don't have to strain myself by lifting without assistance or running. Unfortunately, that means EMT training is out. I'll take basic life support training if it's the only training that meets my criteria.

Would Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or Wilderness First Aid (WFA) be a viable alternative?

Many Red Cross location offers Wilderness and Remote First Aid training.

Wilderness First Responder courses are harder to find and will usually require you taking training at a wilderness location (like thru NOLS or a similar organization).

Μaybe. Is that mostly a regular first-responder course?

Anyway, it looks like nursing assistant training may be right up my alley, assuming I can start before I graduate from school.

from wikipedia

WFR does not require EMT training which many Red Cross certified FR programs do.
