I don’t know if one of these has been made yet. I looked around and couldn’t find one so I decided I’d make one myself. Is anyone else applying for RHP?
I am also wondering how competitive it can be seeing as only one hundred or so people apply and 20-30 get accepted? Any insight from prior RHP applicants on how its going and how the admissions process was?
I’m considering it. Reading past threads on CC, I people generally seem happy with their decision, but the number who chose not to matriculate also seems high. I think I have the stats for it, but I was super bummed to find out that the Dean’s wouldn’t stack with the NMF. Don’t know if I can justify the cost when my parents already said they would pay for med school.
Seems the acceptance rate is around or even a little higher than normal. Surprised how few people apply, but then again I didn’t even know about it until a few days ago.
I’m trying to see if I have good enough stats to even justify applying. What are your stats?
I’m a rising junior, and I just received the RHP letter from USC. After reading some of the threads on CC i think that i will apply in December. I’m hoping to be a social science major (IR and Econ), so I want to look into how their program in that is. However, I’m not so sure about missing my senior year of high school, plus USC is different than many of my dream colleges (Stanford, Columbia, UPenn, Northwestern, etc.). I still think I’ll apply though, just to see what happens.
What are your stats? Just interested to see where I stand amongst those who are applying this year.
I think I’ll apply, but I think unless I get invited for trustee, I’ll wait a year even though high school is sooooo boring… I’m conflicted about major selection though because none of their hard science programs seem that great, but engineering may be bad for my GPA (appyling to med school).
@crawfordk 2250 SAT, 34 ACT, 4.3 GPA is the average.

To anyone who has already applied: When do you send in the RHP app vs. the common app?
You submit the common app (like the usual application). Then you submit additional forms (from USC) to USC.

@Frigidcold, yes, my daughter is attending USC via RHP, and she loves it so far. We have 2 at USC now, so her experience may be a bit skewed towards very favorable.

I just received the RHP letter yesterday, so I’m a little flustered because I didn’t expect to be submitting college applications so soon! I’m a bit confused about the USC supplements? Can anyone explain to me about what they are and how to submit them?

I’ve searched up previous stats and they all seem extremely impressive. I don’t think I have enough leadership positions to get in. But basically, if you do a quick search, previous RHP applicant stats pop up.
