It's next friday we will get our decisions!! I wish time can go faster.

how did you find out? did you ask admissions?

thats also the day applications are due at my school for a free masters in finance, which is what my backup plan was going to be if i don’t get in. now, i’m not so sure anymore…

@gobackto2005, I am going to apply for this program in the end of the year. Could u tell us if u get ur decision? thanks~

Best of luck guys! I’m sure you’ll get in!

broken, application instructions have the date on it. thankx aj. go to brown Yo!

the instructions just say mid-april. i didn’t say anything about them saying april 15 specifically.

no it says april 15, i’m 100% sure about it. check the instruction again

we must not be checking the same places, but i checked this, http://www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/admissions/webfm_send/151
and this, http://www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/admissions/files/webfm/combined_plan_fact_sheet.pdf

they both just said mid-april. they said they will accept application materials until march 15th.

oh my gosh…the second link has the info you need. you mustn’t pay any attention.
When can I apply for the 3-2 Program?
Applications will be accepted between January 1st and March 15th. Students are encouraged to apply early. After March 15th, applications will be reviewed on a space-availability basis. Applicants will be notified of a decision by April 15. Your reply to an offer of admission must be postmarked by May 15.

oh sorry my bad, you know what, never mind.

[When do application decisions become available? | Columbia University Office of Undergraduate Admissions](Columbia University Authentication)

I’m a 3+2 applicant too, waiting for the result. I guess Apr 15 is pretty good ETA since they like to use this day. Nevertheless it won’t come later than 20…I guess.

Good luck to you and me.

Oh my gosh I wish I could sleep through until this friday, never deal well with waiting.

please post decisions when they come out.

I will post as soon as I have any update on my application.

I wish I could stand still next Monday.

I received a notification mail this morning. And the final decision seems to be released on Apr 21. You should all check your registered mailbox.

I ran into the chair of the 3-2 program at my school today. He said it is very likely that I got in, because in the past, the only time Columbia has ever contacted him has been when there was a problem with a student’s application, such as not meeting or the prereqs or their grades being too low. He said he was never contacted about my application.

Anyway, only a few more days now…

broken_symlink, it’s good to know that. but also keep in mind, they only accept 150 students, which means if more than 150 students qualifies, there must have other criteria for them to select applicants. i know one our our graduated student got waitlisted and eventually rejected due to the large volume of application. so… anyways best luck. doesn’t help at all to think about it.

@broken_symlink, would you mind if I ask ur GPA when u apply for the program. Thanks!

got in.

My gpa is a little low. Its a 3.35 right now. My freshmen year is by far the worst. There is a very strong upward trend, I’ve gotten above a 3.5 every semester since then. I am a math major and physics minor, and I applied for computer engineering.
