dhara: you have slightly above average stats for a PSU UP student, I would definitely still consider PSU as a viable school choice though as your SAT score is going to make an ivy and rather large reach for you.

If your gung-ho on an ivy experience, consider applying for the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State. The program rivals several of the Ivy league schools in academic programs and post-bac placements.

lols yeh, i though it was really interesting that Penn State engineering is ranked just below Harvard on usnews ^.^*

Anyone hear anything yet?

I thought 38 was for Business Week. I can't remember the U.S. News Ranking, but it's definitely a little higher. I'll try to find it.

[/quote]

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (August 17, 2007) – Penn State's Smeal College of Business is ranked 10th among public business schools and 18th overall, unchanged from last year, in this year's U.S. News & World Report rankings of undergraduate business programs.
...
...
...
...
U.S. News also ranks specialty programs, or majors, offered by the nation's business schools. Smeal's Supply Chain Management degree program is ranked fifth in the nation overall by the magazine. The college's Finance program jumped five spots to 15th overall in the United States and the Management program went up one spot to 11th.

Other Smeal specialty program rankings by the magazine include Accounting (21st overall) and Marketing (20th overall).

thanks for the clarification lil killer

Thanks for the info!

Anyone hear since they went back after New Year's? No news here....

i think we'll hear it by the 31st

i got my letter last Saturday, January 10th, and my online status was updated this morning.

Accepted to smeal college of business for fall 2009
W GPA: 3.46
SAT: 2130/2400

and i am out of state

your SATs are very good, i have yet to hear, hopefully i will hear by next week. I have friends who go there and a majority said they heard January 22nd

mr fish were you accepted for summer session? What is your uw gpa?

i was accepted for fall 2009.

My school actually doesn't give unweighted GPA's, only weighted. sorry

Has anyone heard of anyone being admitted for summer session yet? My thinking is that my d's best hope is for summer session admission and I guess those will be the last to be notified in late January. Her GPA is good 3.8 unweigted, 4.99 weighted. However, her SAT's are very average (maybe even below average). Class rank is top 9% unweighted, top 16% weighted in a very competitive high school. We have our fingers crossed....
