I saw on the College Board webiste that Dayton is starting to send out acceptances on October 31st. Has anyone heard yet? If so, when did you send in your application.

My D sent hers in a week a go. I know that all of her information is in so I was just wondering.

There is a problem with the Dayton web site. My daughter can’t check her status because her password won’t fit in the space to check the status. Apparently, you can have a longer password when you apply than when you want to check status. Has anyone else had this problem?

And last week she got an e-mail message encouraging her to apply. I hope it was a generic e-mail message. Did you get that one, bplusmom?

Dayton just responded to our e-mail, saying they never received D’s application. Apparently she forgot to hit the “submit” button, so it’s been in limbo for the last month.

And there is no problem with the web site, as they send you a new password to check status, once they receive the application.

I called Dayton today and they said they don’t start reviewing until sometime in December. I submitted all of my information back in September and nothing yet.

My S sent his in about 3 weeks ago and hasn’t heard anything yet. He has received 2 acceptences so far from schools that he applied to at the same time. Their December comment, if true, is inconsistent with the expectation they set.

Thanks for the update. We just found out that my D’s ACT scores had not been sent to some of the schools even though we made the request on October 9th. We are having to send emails to all the admissions offices with her Student ID from ACT(because we did not give her SS#) and the cycle number (whatever that is). I hope it doesn’t mess up her EA applications.

My daughter got a deferral today. The letter said they want to see her 7th semester grades and will notify her when regular decisions go out on March 15 :(

Thought I would do an update and say that I submitted my app two days ago, so slightly before the EA deadline. I used their online application, not Common App.

When we took our campus tour in July we were strongly encouraged to submit our applications a.s.a.p. and take advantage of rolling admissions. So I had everything submitted by 09/10. I just hung up w/admissions having learned that on 09/01/09 Dayton switched from Rolling Admission to Early Action. All applicants that have completed an application by 12/15 will receive some kind of decision, in mass, on 01/15. All others will be on a “rolling basis beginning in the Spring”.

The admissions lady I talked with said that your Student ID will be in the Acceptance letter and the awards normally follow a week or two after acceptance.
