My son applied to CU Boulder last fall (in fact he is currently attending there as a freshman) and he was notified via his CU Boulder account of his acceptance, in addition to receiving at a later date an acceptance letter via snail mail. If memory serves me correctly, I think he was supposed to hear by the middle of January of the admission decision, but last year that was delayed by the university until either late January or early February. I think that was because they were transferring over to a new computer system. You can always call the Admissions Office there with any questions or to check the status of your application materials. They were always helpful to us…or contact them on their Facebook page. They usually answer questions pretty quickly there also.
If you have any questions about the school, ask away…my son really likes it there so far…and he is an out of state student.

Lets see I applied October 14th to the college of engineering and applied science with a 4.9 weighted GPA, 32 Composite ACT (36 on the Math Section), and a 2030 SAT, 10 AP Classes from New Jersey. The out of state thing is working against me but ill let you know when I find out.

I’m just scared they would prefer someone in-state to out of state if it came down to it. Their aerospace engineering program is one of the more competitive schools on campus and even though my numbers are pretty good, they might prefer an in-stater. It’d be nice if I was wrong and they wanted out of state more haha.

Devan1044: I think you are a shoo-in for aerospace engineering. Being out of state is a plus since you pay higher out of state tuition. CU loves all of those out of staters! I wouldn’t worry about your admission at all…My son is a freshman there now in aerospace engineering also…and loving it…and he is from out of state also. Your stats are excellent, by the way!
