Any accepted for Playwriting?

Hi everyone! I was accepted for the 2013 semester for the Playwriting track. Just wanted to see if anyone else was accepted as well!

I think you might not get many responses because Fordham typically has only 1-2 playwriting majors per year. There are 2 freshman playwrights currently.

You might find posting on the drama/theatre majors forum to be useful Congratulations!

I applied to the Playwriting track also, but have heard nothing. Does this mean I was rejected?

My son was also accepted to Playwriting track! So that’s two.

tminogued, last year the letters came by postal mail-- so letters may be delayed. momofthree3, if your son wants to talk to a current freshman playwriting major, PM or email me and I will put him in touch with my daughter.

Glassharmonica, that would be great. My son wants to go so bad. Currently waiting for financial aid information. Do you mind me asking if your daughter got talent scholarship money? We just have no idea what amount we might be looking at. Really hope it comes soon.

Sent you a PM, momofthree3

glassharmonica, if you could send me information about your talent scholarships/financial aid information as well, I’d really appreciate it. I’d love to attend Fordham but financial aid is up in the air at this point.

Congratulations on the acceptances!

My S is a Junior double major in Playwriting and Performance. The Playwriting program is excellent, the best part being the productions…he’s had two One Acts and one full length play produced in the White Box Theatre. He enjoys the writing seminars but has gained valuable and practical experience from the writing and rewriting process in staging his work. If you can swing it financially, this program is worth it! Best of luck!

jermjohn, was wondering if you have received your financial aid/scholarship package yet? We are still waiting.

As someone notes in a different thread, last year we did not receive scholarship information until the last week of march.

Have not no, but financial aid has been kind of frustrating. Got sent the wrong form, called and was told to fill out another form, that form was wrong as well, etc.etc. Lol. But when I find out any information I will post here.
