I'm going into my second year in college and am planning on applying for a junior-year transfer to UPenn. I am a legacy and while I've read the Alumni Council on Admissions website I'd also be interested in hearing a less formal perspective from someone who has already gotten in as a legacy. More specifically, I'd be curious to hear about anything the ACA offers that you found helpful while applying or which you think strengthened your application. I already know about the interview they will do on campus.

i'm also appling for a junior year transfer at penn and i'll be a legacy applicant-whats ur major?

where u peoples coming from

johnny are you originally from beijing?i lived there from 00-02. i love that place to death.

anyway, i'm coming from Penn State.

Currently Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at PSU (main), if I got into Penn I would major in Biochemistry there. I'd be interested in minoring in Computer Science if possible ... something which is impossible to do at PSU. Ultimately I'll be applying to medical school though.

I know legacy factor will help if applying as a freshman and ONLY if you apply ED. Don't know how or if it works in transfer cases.
Did you guys apply as freshmen?

nope........
