<p>While I respect the opinions of actual Cal Poly students, the small town feel isn't for everyone. When we visited, my h.s. S. took a deep breath, smelled the livestock, and said, "Can we just go to Santa Barbara now?" </p>
<p>Westwood, home of UCLA, is a pretty charming little nook of Los Angeles.</p>
