I got into University of Washington today from out of state...

when did you apply? stats?

November 23, 3.71 uw gpa, 27 act, 3 ap classes (all this year), only wrote on 2 of the essays.

birdofprey425, where in alabama do you live? are they already giving out their tier 1, 2, and 3 awards?

heefar7, is U Washington giving out decisions this early? I thought they weren't rolling. Or are you EA?

heefar how was your ec and community service?

hey, platnumtlc, did you apply also?

Yeah but I will probably be rejected.

when do they give decisions?

ecnerwalc3321, no, but they can respond as quickly as 4 weeks after you after you apply...i don't think they have EA?? I had A LOT of EC's...really a lot.

ecnerwalc3321, I live in southern Alabama, Elberta to be exact. I go to Foley High School. I did apply for the Tier 1 scholarship as a back-up in case the N'tl Merit stuff falls through, but the letter I got didn't actually mention Tier 1. Let me go check...

Well I can't find it, but the gist was "You have qualified for a full-tuition scholarship. This is a base scholarship; any other scholarship money you recieve will be added on top of this." It didn't mention Tier 1 anywhere, I'm sure of that.

Wow, I can't believe you got notice already.

I applied Nov. 30 w/ the following stats:

White, Idahoan male

GPA: 3.972 (On an unweighted, A = 4 scale. Basically this means I've had one B in all of high school, damn Algebra)

Class rank: 13 of 417 at a large, well regarded public high school.

SAT: 1300: 730V, 570M (God I hate math so much)

Newspaper (Editor-in-Chief)
Earth Club
Japan Club (Vice-Prez)

AP Classes:

AP American Government

Also an avid cyclist who has ridden the Seattle to Portland (200 miles in 2 days) Bicycle Classic the last two years (departed from Husky Stadium, made sure to mention that when describing my EC's)

I hope I get in, but after how quickly you got in I'm extremely anxious to learn.

You'll def. get in...good luck!!

heefar7: How much financial aid did you get? I am applying to University of Washington also....I still need to apply though. lol

Andrew: Just curious-What did you get on your SAT retake?

EXACT SAME SCORE (570M, 730V).

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I was supposed to take it Dec. 4 but just said **** it.

heefar7, I looked a reference book and it said that they send decisions after 4/1. (Maybe they changed it?) If not, I should be getting my letter of acceptance/rejection soon.

birdofprey425- I also got a letter but didn't mention tier1 or whatever. btw, I live in anniston.

I havent been rejected yet, but I hope that continues on until I get a decision from NYU!
