Any admission decisions released?

Has Pitt accepted any student applications yet? My DD submitted her application early and is anxious!!

Nothing here yet either. My D applied to the School of Nursing. Her application was complete on 7/26. I have been told repeatedly be different admissions people that they don’t begin looking at them until Oct. 1st. I was hopeful that that was just what they said, since maybe people on this forum heard before the end of Sept. last year. Perhaps their procedures have changed.

We are very anxious here as well!

We were told Oct 1st last year also. He*l of a surprise when my daughter received a “Congratulations” envelope on Sept. 29th…we definitely were not expecting to hear anything that early.

I remember you saying Sept 29th in your earlier posts and ran home to the mailbox today…nothing!

^^^
You’re not alone. This year I have a son who was also hoping for good news today. I’m sure we’ll hear something within the next couple of weeks.

DD left her application when we visited this summer. For some reason I thought that they would process them before now but I probably dozed off during that part of the information session and didn’t remember that quite right!! It was her first application and is one of her top choices. Hearing something next week would be great!

Seems like just yesterday my DS was in your shoes. I’ll tell you what people told us - relax, it will come!

He is now a happy Pitt freshman who I am loooking forward to seeing tomorrow,

We are also anxiously waiting! My son filled out his application at an event at the end of June. Can’t wait to hear and have the suspense be over! Best of luck to everyone!!

my daughter also applied over the summer, but it took us a while to get her transcripts in because her school was having computer issues. Her guidance counselor assured us that it would not delay her application because he had called and spoken with the admissions office and was told they would not begin reviewing applications until the beginning of October. If that is true, I would expect people could start to get decisions in mid-October at the earliest.

I believe we heard by Oct. 9th last year…unless that was her due date for free application. Heard of acceptance within 10 days of submitted application though. Good Luck!!

My son applied at Summer Ready Set Pitt event July 16; all transcripts /test scores were sent 8/30/10…when we check app status all it says is that they have everything and app is complete… I did hear that they start reviewing apps in October…

Got a message today from one of the senders of my son’s rec letters, she received a letter from Pitt thanking her for writing it and helping them get to know him better. I know it’s no guarantee of anything, but it’s nice to know some progress is happening!

Nothing today, folks!

My son was accepted today (letter in mail) to the College of Engineering and the Honors College. He applied August 1st. Good luck to all!

1234–Where are you located?

Congratulations 1234! That’s wonderful. Will your son be attending PITT?

Oh boy. Knowing that people are already receiving letters is making this all worse.

Pitt is my number one school. If I don’t get in…I have no idea where I would even consider going. I applied back in August, and have been worried ever since. My SAT scores are slightly below average for Pitt, but I have a great gpa, ec’s, letter, and essay. I hope that was enough to redeem myself.

I think I might have to be enrolled in an insane asylum if a acceptance/rejection letter doesn’t arrive this week. The waiting game is killing me!!!

Congrats 1234!!! Good luck everyone.

We live in Michigan.

Opps! The rest of my comment did not post. Thanks you for the congrats for my son. Midwestpop: He really liked Pitt but he has applied to six other schools so hopefully he will have some choices.
