Hi, I apologize if this has been asked before, but I'm new here. I'm a current sophomore at a private high school in NJ and I was just wondering if there are any advantages to the SAT over the ACT if I score substantially better on the ACT.

I've haven't done any studying for it and I've taken a few practice tests for each, but my best for the SAT was a 2040 (760 W/720 M/560 CR). My other attempts were (790/670/600) and (770/730/520), respectively.

My best for the ACT, however, was a 35 composite (35 English/35 Math/36 Science/32 Reading), and my other two attempts were a 33 (34/34/35/29) and a 34 (35/34/36/30), respectively.

So clearly the ACT is my strongest test, but it's not like my SAT's are that bad... Is there any reason to take the SAT?
