Any advice for AP Chinese Preparation?

I'm a high school senior who's considering taking the AP Chinese Language and Culture Exam. Unfortunately, I have little idea of how to prepare, considering that the test is so new. I am NOT a native speaker, and am currently in my high's school's fourth year Chinese class. Any tips one might have on preparing for the exam? (I've been to AP Central and looked up the sample test questions so I have a vague idea of what the exam will be like).

Hi–hopefully your class is going to go through practice/preparation, but since I’m self-studying for the test (am native speaker), I came across these few websites that might prove helpful. Btw, the Barron’s AP Chinese prep book, the only of its sort I’ve found for the AP Chinese test seems to not be out yet–it’ll be released in August 2009 which is too late for this year’s testing:

(if you google around you’ll probably find more)

Kudos for taking the test & Good luck on it!! From what I’ve seen of it, practice for the test is probably going to be more important than expected, as it’s hard for anyone to respond to a question without awkward pauses for 30 seconds straight with little to no time to prepare for the answer. I know I’m going to have to wedge a little studying in for it =P It’ll definitely be helpful to brush up on the cultural customs, etc.
