Any advice for non native English speaker?

Hello, I am looking for some advice that will raise my writing section's score. I took the SAT once, and I did really well but the writing killed me. So is there any advice on how to impoving my grammar skill? If I do a lot practice tests will that help me because I will just get used to all the grammar errors?
And any advice on helping my cr score? I know reading is the key, but it is sorta too late no?

I am a non-native speaker too and in fact i have only been speaking English for 4 years. What really helped me a lot was reading, not just your typical popular novels but a lot of the classics too. It helps even more if you had read the novel before in your native language.
Also, just read everything. Labels, newspapers lying around, every little thing helps.

dearppl, gotta keep reading. aside from books, look into magazines too. visit your local library and borrow a few issues of newsweek, time, etc. Some threads here in cc mention The Economist and the Atlantic Monthly several times. Newspapers help too. The NYTimes, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, come to mind. You can also visit their websites and read material there.
