Any Advice!

So my end goal is Medicine. I love and excel in science and hoping to major in either biology or marine biology. Financially I dont know what to do, 1 parent averages at abt $68,000 a year and the other has been unemployed until recently ( of course get a job my senior year and lessen my chance at financial aid >.< ), but still a job in maintence doesnt pay well when you have four kids, a mortgage, car payment, etc. I hope that all will be taken into account for my financial aid because I have absolutely no savings. I am truthfully alone on research, my parents show no support/interest so not only am I forced to find colleges on my own paying for the tuition will be left up to me too.

My goal SAT scores are about a 1700 because I am a weak math student. And I do plan on taking the ACTs in October as well to see how I do with that exam.

I am completely addicted to research. I have been on my computer doing nothing more than browseing college websites and writing alternate application letters as well as gather data and statistics about my choices. (My Friends must be getting annoyed with me because I wont stop IMing them about their choices and any advice they may offer).

And my list..... In no real order, I dont really have any top pics out of these.

SUNY - University at Buffalo (affordable good SUNY far from home :D)
Syracuse University (good school good distance away/close from home)
Marymount Manhattan College ( 2 or so hrs from home & New York City :D)
New York University (love the city - I swear I would spend every weekend in the many museums)
University of New Haven (amazing Marine Biology program)
The College of St. Rose (know a few students/graduates who have said its a good school)
Mass. College of Liberal Arts (affordability - good chance)

I am hoping to write a killer application letter to compensate for my weak math skills because writing is a strong point for me... But if any one could possibly suggest any more schools or any advice in general I would be very greatful..

Thank You :-)

Oh and extraciricular activites are…
Cross Country 10-12
Indoor Track 10-12
Outdoor Track 10-12
FBLA 11-12

I would have like to participate in more clubs and activities but sadly they all fall on the same days as meets

University of Vermont has a good medical program. Another school to consider is CUNY Hunters College
