I found out about Elon and it is a great fit for me. However, my ACT is a 25 super scored(I am not a good test taker) but I have a 4.0. I have a bunch of extracurriculars and community service awards. I am applying early action and my essays are really strong. I am expressing interest to my admissions counselor. Should I apply early decision? Will that increase my chances?

As I understand it, applying ED always increases your chances a little bit, because it tells the admissions committee that Elon is your first choice and that you will attend if you are accepted. Of course you have to be sure that it is your #1 choice, because there is no going back! If you aren’t sure you can just apply EA, though that doesn’t send quite the same message.

Applying ED at Elon raises your chances a LOT! Historically the ED acceptance rate is about 85%. Also at Elon ED students get first choice of housing, which is a bonus. As always though, you have to be sure that’s where you want to go.
