<p>Do any of you know of any art competition/ contests that's nationally well-known? I've discovered in the past year that my best subject is art, so I'm thinking about joining some competitions. </p>

<p>Well, this one isn't national, but it may be in every state. I live in Mississippi, and every year, the state Bar Association holds an art contest called the Law Day Art Contest. In it, students from the entire state enter their original pieces done around a new law-related theme given each year. I won 2nd place in my school and "Honorable Mention" over-all in state during my sophomore year. I don't know if there are any prizes, but it would look good on a college app.</p>
