Hey, I’m a swimmer applying to harvard. purposefully didn’t get recruited cuz i’m not sure if i wanna continue swimming at H. any others like me?

recruited athlete...won't jeopardize myself by saying what sport...

jeopardize...how??

if adcoms are patrolling this site, mentioning your sport could instantly make you stand out in a pile of applications

wow, that would suck if people got rejected because of something they said on CC

yeah, most people are fine, but being a recruited athlete is already targeted, it could jeapordize you a lot

Do the admissions people actually frequent this site? And, if so, why would anything any of you say here count for/against you? Dizzy-son is too busy with school/sport/life to participate here but I have found it a great source of information -- is there some way in which that counts against a candidate?

I don't know how seeing you on CC would hurt your app (unless you said some horrible/obnoxious stuff).

I'm not recruited... but I wish I were.

Track/XC for me.

Really?? Me too!

Oh, and another thing--don't be paranoid, you guys. It's not going to hurt your chances of admission to talk about being a recruited athlete. When the schools are paying to fly you out to visit, it's not like it's really a secret.

exactly sunglasses, I really can't see how saying your recruited would hurt, doesnt harvard want good athletes?? GO CRIMSON!!!

Hey Navgirl, what events do you run in track?

Track & Field. I am recruited

Haha, this is just a track party! Go Frank and Walter!

"I don't know how seeing you on CC would hurt your app (unless you said some horrible/obnoxious stuff)."

blows justforgetme a kiss

since we're all being so loving... ~hugs ivyleaguechamp~

hugs :) where'd you come from?

This is definitely the most upbeat board so far. Way to be, guys.

bisous pour les lunettes du soleil!
