Any chance at all at competitive schools?

Texas resident
South Asian descent
School sends some to Ivy's/MIT/Top schools

GPA: Around 3.65 (Unweighted)
Class Rank: 125/1158 (Missed top 10% by about 10 people)
SAT: CR: 700 M: 650 W: 720 (2070)... I just took the SAT again and am expecting a mid 2100, also I might take the SAT 1 last time and shoot for the 2200
SAT II: Haven't taken yet, but will take it in November
Course Rigor: Hardest possible

APs:

World History- 5
Psychology-5
English Language/Composition- 5
Biology- 4
U.S. History- 5

AP's taking this year: English Literature, Chemistry, Human Geography, Economics, U.S Government, and Calculus AB. Should have a total of 11 after senior year.

EC's: Not that much...

100+ Volunteer hours at Mosque
Orchestra (9th grade)
Key Club
HOSA (Medical club)
Chess Club

Have extensive work experience, and am a first generation college hopeful if that amounts to anything.

Other: The main reason that my class rank/GPA is low is because of 9th grade. I didn't really think about college back then, so I didn't apply myself as I should have. My grades have improved in an upward trend every year, with my highest cumulative average coming in my hardest (Junior) year. I am doing well so far to get straight A's this semester if that makes a difference for some of the regular admissions.

These are mainly the schools that I would like to go to but am not really sure if I have a shot at getting in at all:

Rice ED
Emory
Washington University at St. Louis
University of Texas

Your best shot is at the Texas schools: Rice and UofTexas. Have you gone to visit the other two? Both WashU and Emory want to see “demonstrated interest”. Emory really wants its applicants to visit. (I read that somewhere.)

Any more?
