Over 150 hours volunteering at Baylor and observed actual surgeries.
Started a small reselling vendor on Amazon. $5000 in revenue last year.
Part of an out of school investment club. Friends and I are observing and learning about the stock market. We are investing $7000 and will donate all of the earnings we make.

<p>I feel that if you can emphasize your interest in business through your essays about your stock market ventures and the Amazon thing, you will stand out more than the average Asian male. If your SAT become 2150+, id say you would be competitive</p>

<p>with the sat i need subject test though right? i dont think i can make the deadline and take the subject tests as well. Im probaby gonna have to use my act.</p>

<p>Your ECs could use work, but it’s a little late for that now. Leadership positions are pretty important - are you technically the “leader” of your investment group?
Btw, go check out the SAT quickly. You MIGHT be able to register late for the October SAT date, which would leave you with the Nov. 3rd date to take the subject tests (or vice versa).</p>

<p>However, getting that close to the wire is risky (in case you somehow miss your subject tests date), so I’d think if you did it, it would be prudent to call Rice and ask them about it.</p>

<p>I’d say Rice is about a medium-ish reach for you.

<p>but isnt the ed deadline November 1st? Im already signed up for the October sat. If rice still accepts them, ill take the subject tests in November.</p>

<p>The ED deadline is Nov 1st, but according to their standardized testing page they accept the Nov. 3rd SAT.</p>
