any chance at all?

<p>Hi, this is my first post on this site, so forgive me if I say something stupid...</p>

<p>I was just wondering...as I was looking at the posts made by other people asking about there chances of getting in, they all had these wonderful resumes. I go to an average school, not a prep school. I'm top ten, sure, but I won't be valedictorian. I have a 4.0 GPA unweighted. I haven't taken the SAT's yet, but on the PSAT's I got in 700's in the English parts, but only a 560 in the Math. :( I have extracurricular activities, but not as much as everyone else. Just marching band, drum line, steel pan band, Band Counsel, and volunteering at a hospital. </p>

<p>Overall I'd say I'm just an average student. Do you think I have a chance or should I just apply to something more in my reach? Thanks for reading and replying, if you do. Hope I didn't bore you. ^_^;</p>

<p>apply. i have a feeling that you might be a very good writer. perhaps I got that from your wonderfully personal, non-defensive tone, which is quite different from the typical stressed out hormone shocked writing I usually find on these boards. incorporate it into your app. essays and you will be golden.
you have as much a chance as anyone else. with a little bit of prep, you will boost those math scores up to where you want them.</p>
