Let me preface this with the fact that during 8th grade i was mis-diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was put on medication that severely hampered my ability to do...anything (this is especially evident in my GPA).

I really want to go to the university of michigan--i have spent over 14 weeks in ann arbor and am convinced that I belong there (i have to convince admissions officers the same..)

Freshman GPA- 3.1
Sophomore- 2.8
Junior Semester 1- 3.0
Junior Semester 2- 3.6 (this is when i stopped taking the medication)
SAT; (1300/1970)
ACT: 29 Composite, i got a 34 on the english, 29 on the math
Class Rank: An abysmal 32% -- there are a lot of people at my school that take really easy grade level below classes and have inflated gpas. I am disadvantaged rank-wise because i moved from an really hard private school after my sophomore year.

Extra curricular activites--i am captain of my schools debate team, I got third place in the state last year as a junior. As a senior my debate partner and I have amassed several awards and are within the top 50 teams in the country.

I also do a lot of community service (I volunteer at the boys and girls club near where I live)/several clubs etc.

Senior Classes
AP Comparative Government
English 12 Honors
AP Environmental Sciences
AP Calculus AB
Debate

The difficulty level of my classes has been consistent throughout high school

My only plus is that the debate coach there said he'd help me through the application process and I assume that holds some weight.

Do I have even a reasonable chance of going to michigan or any of these other schools?

University of Redlands
Michigan State
Trinity University
Gonzaga
University of Texas
Whitman

Any help would be greatly appreciated...i'm in dire straits

P.S-i'm sending my michigan application this week
