Any Chance at BC?

Hello, I was wondering if I should even apply to Boston College. I’m just trying to get some perspective on my chances, thanks

GPA: 3.7 (school only calculates weighted, unweighted is probably a 3.5 though)
SAT: 1310 (630 English, 680 math, 6/6/6 essay)
Course load: School does not offer AP or IB, but I have taken many dual-enrollment courses through local community college and Indiana University (IU). 25 credit hours from IU, 14 credit hours from community college.
Class Rank: 20/119

EC’s
National Honor Society (11,12)
Book Club (9,10,11,12)
Student Council (9,12)
Girl Scouts (12 years)
Sunshine Society (9,10,11)
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (9,10,11,12)
Varsity tennis (9,10,11,12)
Unfortunately, I have never held any leadership positions in any of my extra-curriculars.

Volunteer Work: 300+ hours (food pantry, marching band, church camps, school activities, tutoring)

Gender: Female
Race: Asian
Residency: IN
Essays should be pretty good. Common app essay is probably 8-9/10 (Counselor and schools I’ve heard back from really like it, pretty creative). Have not written the BC supplements, but have ideas.
Letters of rec from my math teacher. Has been my pre-cal and calc teacher as well as the FCA leader.

Thanks for reading all of that, let me know,

I got in with a 30 ACT, so it’s possible. You’re going to really have to sell your application through your essays. That’s definitely how I got in. Regardless, the least you can do is apply. You’ll regret not applying. Try retaking your SAT or try the ACT if it’s not too late. GOODLUCK!

Your stats are pretty close to mine. I’ve heard it’s getting harder and harder to get into BC, hopefully we can win them over with our essays! Good luck!

I also have a 30 on my ACT. Any tips you could give me? Anything to quell my fears? I think I had really good essays but you know- still nervous.
