GPA is somewhat low, 3.405.

<p>There's no harm in trying, but I wouldn't get your hopes up...it helps that you're African American, but your GPA is considerably lower than most succesful applicants' and your SAT scores would probably hurt you, too. I would try to boost your writing score by about 150 or so points, and your CR by about 100 points. Your EC's are also just average. Writing really excellent essays might help you.</p>

<p>Your GPA and SATs are a little bit low, definitely still in a reasonable range. Like wishmeluck says, killer essays will help.</p>
