any chance at bs/md programs?????????

Hello,

I am currently a senior at my hs and its college app time. (yikes!). My dream is to become a doctor, specifically pediatrician, but unfortunately, my grades are very horrible, for bs/md programs anyways. Anyways, I am applying to the brooklyn college bs/md program, as well as those in geneseo, adelphi and some d.o. programs in new paltz, and nyit. I know all these programs are highly competitive, but i am hopeful that some little factor will pull me through. I am also wondering if midyear reports fit into college decisions. btw, my junior year grades dipped horribly, my soph gpa was 93, then junior year was 88.68.

my stats:

female
south asian
gpa as of final semester junior year: 88.68/100 (idk what that is in terms of 4.0)—>(can i increase this average to above 90 by midyear senior year?)
low-ish income (idk exactly)

sat
1st one:1630
2nd:1760
3rd: taking this november.

sat subject
world history:620
chem:590(horrible i know)

ap chem:3
ap language:3
ap world:4
ap bio:taking currently.

ec:
co founder, co president of peer pathways club
english honor society member
science olympiad member
volunteered at middle school library for 2 years
volunteered at head start program over the summer
plan on volunteering at doctor’s office starting this month

recommendations:
ap chem teacher
geometry teacher
counselor
doctor

I just want colleges to see that my junior year grades do not reflect my overall ethic and intellect. I can do much better and i can, its just that junior year i became overwhelmed and dishearted. is there any way i can let that shine through senior year, and have that affect my decision?

thanks for your help.

Just apply. At least you’ll get in the college before the bs md. if you get an interview then ace it. Bs md are difficult to chance.

I go to Adelphi University and I’m not very familiar with your program or what its requirements are, but I definitely recommend applying!! It’s a pretty good school

best bet would be a bs/do program at this point but not sure what stats they look for even. Bs/md is out of the question with that SAT/gpa unfortunately (they’re looking for 2100+).
