Personal:
The day before my AP biology exam, i found out that my mother had terminal breast cancer. This was in may of 2004 the year right before my junior year. as you can see, i had to stop many of my ec's because i had to stay home to take care of my mother. Seeing my mother in immense pain, i decided that i wanted to help other people. I am applying early action to NHS as an international healh studies major... think i can do it??

Oh yeah, im asian, my parents income is less than 21,000 and does GT see if you apply early action to other schools?? should i just apply only to the GT early Action program?

Hey,
I'm in NHS right now and I think I might be able to answer your question. For admission, the first thing NHS is looking for is your committment to healthcare. The story of your mother's illness (which I assume will be your essay topic) makes that case for you. Your grades are good, your scores can be better.

don't worry about your parents' income. gtown is definitely need blind in decisions and I know MANY people who receive $35,000+ per year in grants, in NHS and the other schools.

Georgetown has an Early Action Program...apply by nov 1, find out by dec. 15. It is nonbinding, and you can apply to as many Early Action schools as you want (they won't find out), but you cannot apply to any Early Decision schools.

I don't know if you've visited or not, but i strongly recommend visiting campus and going in to St. Mary's Hall, where the school is located. There, you'll be able to talk to someone and have specific questions answered about the school, and they will report your interest to admissions. I talked to the assistant dean of academics in the fall of my senior year and we still keep talk. It's an amazing place. Best of luck, I hope to see you here in the fall.

bump bump bump and can any onw name me match/safety schools?

gtown is a big reach, i would say if u like the dc area

george washington universitys a match, and american universitys a safety
