Ok here is the rundown, I attend a competetive bay area (california) high school that sent around 16 students to stanfordl and am interested in engineering and/or business. I am a white male

--10 AP's by senior year, all others honors
--Rank, no ranks but deciles, 1st or 2nd decile depenidng on how the school calculates it.

I really want to apply SCEA to stanford, thank you for any suggestions and can you please tell me how you consider these universities (match, reach etc) and offer some suggestions:Cal, UCLA, Northwestern,Cornell, MIT, princeton, Rice and feel free to offer others. THANKS

Stanford is my goal too :) and like you, I've been swimming for like, the 3 years now but I'm still not any good.
Your stats are good to awesome but I think it would look better if you can pull up that chem score.
Your ECs are really nice - an impressive bunch.
Have you taken any AP Exams?
But based on your race, schooling, etc, I would say you have a really nice chance of getting in.

Your chem and math are both impressive but it would look better (but not by much) if you could bring up your chem a bit more. Its optional though - your resume looks very good, nevertheless.

What's the breakdown of your SATI? Stanford probably won't look at writing next year, so you're in good shape if you have 750s in math and CR.

Be careful in looking at who the 16 from your high school are who get into Stanford. Many Ca high schools have large numbers of Stanford Aceptees (our smallish private sends almost 10% many years) but the vast majority are legacies and athletes.

My son is applying alongside you. Top 6% of class, 2320 SAT. a legacy, and we're not holding our breath.

I dunno if you just didn't delete this or whatever, but I was under the impression that there is no more SAT II Writing to be taken, seeing as it is now part of the SAT I

Thanks for the replies guys, anything I can do to improve my chances? Any major weaknesses they can find? I'm trying to convey myself as a genuine, caring person in my application, not a stats machine.

man. what the heck was kissthesky talking about?
770 Chem is awesome, and don't EVER retake it. it'll just show the officers that you're obssessive.

then why in the world were you ever considering retaking your SAT II's of 790 and 770. Personally, i think retaking those would show that, in fact, you are a stat machine. Plus, it would be pretty embarrassing to do that and score lower. I definitely urge you not to retake them.
