I also placed top8 in DECA's California State program in 2005. Will that help?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not an expert on this at all, and I'm really bad at doing these chance threads, but I'm sitting in Bobst on a sunday morning and I'm reallllly bored, so I'll give this a shot.

I think you're a rather borderline applicant, and although I don't believe Stern puts as much weight on the essay, it's up to you to set yourself apart and really sell yourself. Your Math score for your SAT is an integral part of your application to Stern, and I don't see it posted, but your SATII in math is high ,so you must be pretty strong in that. You have solid ECs (I used to be a really be spech and debate nerd), but your GPA is on the low side along with your class rank. I would recommend ED, but don't just apply ED because it's easier to get in, apply ED because you really want to go to this school (I've seen way too many people applying ED to one school and then getting into another school regular that they would have rather gone to).

I feel that you have a chance, but your stats and ECs are average for Stern. Your SATIIs need to go up to 700+. Yes, the DECA thing will help, but not much. Your GPA is on the low side as well. So, yes, I would say apply ED, but take this with a grain of salt, as I am a student just like you. Good luck!

I actually do want to go to Stern. I'm just unsure if that is THE college I want to go to.

I'm actually going to retake my Math2C because I feel it is too low.

I'm actually going to submit my ACT score to stern and my math score on that section was a 34. Will they take that into higher consideration over the other subjects?

Thanks :)

thanks for the input.

I've decided I'm going to do ed with stern. :)

aww congratulations on your decision :), life is so much easier after ED
