Any chance at Wharton?

I know that Wharton is extremely competitive and is an obvious reach, but I am wondering if it is even worth my time and money to apply.

Here’s some info:

I know I have a competitive SAT score and GPA, but still need Subject Tests. My worry is about my ECs. Most people who apply have great ECs related to business. Should I move on from thinking about applying or would it be worth the (very slim) shot?

You do have a shot and your research thing is business related even if it may be a minor activity. If you really want to go to Wharton, I would say apply because you might get in but don’t expect anything.

@virsha24 Ok thanks.

Every school is worth applying. You will have a chance at every school that you apply to so if you want to go somewhere, just apply!

I’m also pretty sure that not every single person who got admitted into Wharton had some kind of business experience. I think that having a business EC is used to demonstrate interest (which is what Wharton is looking for). If you have a compelling story to tell explaining how you became interested in business, then that works too (maybe not as much as opening a business or whatever but still enough to be admitted).

World History is not available for October SAT, but you’re taking 2 which is enough.

@rdeng2614 Thanks I didn’t realize that about World History. And thanks for your perspective too!
