…My largest concern is that I don’t have any business-specific extracurricular activities or nothing in my app that indicates a strong passion for business… But I was really involved in leadership in my church and various clubs and stuff so maybe it’ll be aight?

Whatever you do, just don’t try to make any of your EC’s seem like they’re business related if they’re really not. You’’'l come off seeming fake.

My daughter’s test scores were lower than yours and she was not able to take any AP classes until senior year. She had no business background or even a strong understanding of the many tracks one can take in business. She was third in her class, but not in a very competitive school. She got into CSOM early decision. She wrote her common app essay on working at McDonald’s, but her Magis essay had depth. Whatever she wrote, it obviously resonated with the admission officer reading her application.

You just never know what they’re looking for, so keep your grades up, get the best test scores you can, stay involved in things that are important to you, and be sincere in your essays. The rest is pretty much out of your hands.

Good luck!

My test scores and GPA were lower, but in terms of business “background” / business extracurriculars- I had none and I got into CSOM. If you have any more specific questions feel free to PM me.
