<p>Hi, as stated I'm applying to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. I'm particularily drawn to their "Logic and Computation" degree, which combines all of my interests (cognitive science, psychology, computer science, and philosophy) into one major. Do I have any chance? At this point I'm leaning towards ED. Thanks!</p>

<p>You seem to be a decent fit for HSS.</p>

<p>The biggest worry is your GPA and class rank. Top 20% of your class probably will not be good enough to get in unless you’re at a ridiculously competitive high school such as a magnet. A good essay may offset this.</p>

<p>My HS is pretty good, sends a lot to top 20’s every year, but you’re right about my pathetic rank. That’s what I’m worried about the most. I should have pretty good essays though, writing is my strongest point.</p>

<p>Would it be better for me to apply ED to show extreme interest or wait until my application/grades shape up a bit in RD?</p>
