With this information, what are my chances of getting into NYU, and should I consider early decision? I am currently undecided but that might change before I apply.

First of all it depends on what major you’re applying for. If you can get that ACT up to a 32 then do ED for sure and you have a very solid chance. Also you might wanna build some volunteering credentials too.

Looks like she already has 100+ volunteer hours! I would definitely focus on essays and ACT rather than that, but also remember your unweighted GPA! Their average is above a 3.7. Universities know that every school weights differently, so a lot of them focus on your real GPA more. And yeah, if you’re going for a STEM major, make sure your ACT distribution and grades in related classes match that. Best of luck!
