Any chance for VT?

I'm out of state, with a 3.5 unweighted GPA (not sure about weighted) and an SAT of 530R 670M 600W. I took the SAT last week, but am unsure if I did any better. I've taken AP physics, history, Computer Science, Cisco, and currently Calculus. My class rank is not very good (~33%), but VT says SAT, rigor of schedule, and GPA are much more important than class rank (or that's what collegeboard says anyway). The VT website says B+ students are "more likely to be offered admission" and average SAT is 1120-1280. By this it seems I have a shot. Would I need to apply ED?

Cliffs: 3.5 unweighted, relativley tough classes, 1200 SAT. Any chance for VT out of state?

sounds fine to me. i live in northern VA, and VT is an easy school to get in for in staters :p

what are you majoring in? if u apply as engineering ...its hard as crap. i had a friend last year who had a 800 math SAT and got rejected because of his low verbal score (he was a chinese student)

yea sounds fine. My brother is a freshman there and he was accepted with some money and he only had a 3.2gpa and a 1200ish SAT (700V 500ishM). But he did have really amazing EC (own computer business since age 12, EMT, police explorer, many awards in Mock Trial amung other things, very envolved in school etc), and a really good essay. But you should be fine.

oh yea and we are out of state also
