Any Chance getting into Albany?

Hi all-
New poster...great site

Was wondering if I have a chance of getting Albany with my stats:
3.1 GPA un-weighted
1230 SAT CR/Math (580 CR/650 Math)
AP Chem
School Newspaper
I am a senior now and have a full course load and pushing hard to get my GPA up...first marking period is going to be a 3.8...not sure if they care about my current senior grades.

My major is going to be Chemistry with a minor in Physics.

I appreciate any input...I have applied Early Action. Submitted essays, part II supplimental and got good recommendations.

Again, thanks
Josh

I'm sure you'll get it, it's not the most difficult of schools to get in. I'm hoping to get accepted aswell. It's not my first choice (it's my backup,) but the security of knowing I got accepted into a college would be very satisfying. They say it should come by the first week of January, so I get decisions will come soon. My gpa is a 3.3 1160 SATS AP US and AP Economics and barely any ECs. My courseload is full aswell with all college courses and honors english.

Good Luck

You obviously haven't looked into their standards for admission - because if you did, you would realize you are actually overachieving for admission to Albany. You are no doubt accepted with those stats.

Yea...I looked at the stat's and know I should get in...but sometimes schools make odd decisions...so I would rather have the confirmation to know I am in. Heard both good and negative comments about Albany...but then again, I have heard good and bad about all the state schools.

I know someone that just graduated from UA and they liked it, food was bad, class sizes sometimes were huge, but overall he liked the school..recommended it. You can party as much or as little as you want...up to you.

Got into Stony Brook but am real concerned on the suitcase status of the school...don't feel like being the only one left on campus for the weekend.

I'm in...got my letter today.
