Hello all! I’m a junior, and my gpa is less than magnificent (3.5889 uw, 3.6989 w). I took 5 honors classes, 1 AP class, and 2 CHS classes, and I’m taking 4 APS and 2 CHS classes next year. I have issues at my house that resulted in this less-than-stellar GPA, but I truly believe if I try my hardest next year, I can get all A’s, which would bring my GPA up to a 3.67 uw and 3.86 w GPA by the end of semester 1. I got a 1480 on my SAT, and I’m taking it again June 1. I want to go for pre-pharmacy, and Pitt is my number one school. I’m also an in-state student, if that helps. Do I have a chance of getting accepted? Please give me suggestions of what I can do.
Make sure to work hard to increase GPA, but your SAT score is very good.

You might qualify for the Pharmacy GAP.
Thanks for the response! I’m definitely not expecting to get GAP, but that would be wonderful. Do you know how much Pitt considers demonstrated interest?
I am not sure but visiting and showing interest definitely can’t hurt!
I got in with a GPA that was only a little bit higher than what you have and a lower SAT score. Plus, i didn’t take nearly as many AP classes as you. So I believe there will be a good chance. You’ll never know without applying though. Good luck.
