You certainly have a chance. The SAT scores are a little low, though Verbal scores are often a little lower for Asian and Hispanic candidates. The rough averages published for Wash U (US News) are 715 for Reading/Verbal and 735 for Math. Your grades appear to be your best stat and that is one of the most important. At Wash U, they also state that rigor of your academic transcript is important, i.e. did you take as tough of a load as your school offers? I cannot tell from here.

All that said, I would say it is a bit of a reach, but you never know. The rest of the list looks ambitous also. Which ones are your safety schools?

Yes most rigorous courseload

you have great ECs but your SAT scores are on the low side. I also think it would be a reach

They waitlist almost everybody.

I think you do have a shot of acceptance at Wash U as you do with some of the other choices on your list. However, as HartinGA states, your college list is pretty ambitious. You definitely need a few schools on your list that are not so selective.

slight reach.

there's no additional essay so how do they choose applicants; solely based on sat/recs/academic courseload/gpa? possibly on interest in the school?

^ huge important on interest.

According to Naviance, the only kid from my school who ever got accepted outright had almost the lowest scores and GPA of any applicant from our school. He applied ED.

Tons of other kids have applied with way higher stats, but when they applied RD, they ALL got waitlisted. Take that how you want.

i like it that wash u doesn't have a supplement essay but it also makes it harder for me to stand out. Wash u is soo hard to get in to! my counselor said that it would be a reach reach for me. Last year 12 ppl applied at my school and 7 of them got in, and 5 of the ppl who got in all had at least a 94 avg and 2300s on sats.

thanks everyone... anyone have some thoughts?

please a few more chances, greatly appreciated.
